Fin connaisseur de la litt\u00e9rature traditionnelle chinoise, aimant s&rsquo;adonner \u00e0 la pratique de la calligraphie et de la po\u00e9sie, il transmet \u00e0 son jeune fils son go\u00fbt pour les arts. Son fr\u00e8re  Yan Zuopeng, ing\u00e9nieur, a v\u00e9cu \u00e0 Wenzhou et \u00e0 Lanzhou o\u00f9 il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une usine textile.
